Comfort Cases Founders Share Their Adoption Story
Watch this amazing clip of Comfort Cases founders Rob and Reece tell their story of adoption from foster care. In 2009, Rob and Reece were placed with a sibling group of two children and four months later, got a call to foster another sibling group of two, increasing their family from just the two of them to a family of six with four young children. Rob recounts that one of their children hoarded food, one couldn't talk and couldn't walk, and another didn't know what it felt like to be hugged. "I can say I don't know if I was ready for that, but we just made it work. That's what family is about, you just make it work." During his interview, Rob expresses his feelings about his kids. "People say that our kids won the lottery... but we won the lottery." Their story is such an amazing example of parents who adopt children from foster care with open arms and open hearts and accept their children without hesitation. Older children waiting in foster care often just need parents who are passionate about allowing children the opportunity to thrive in a family full of love and support.
