It is hard to believe that we are at the end of another year, and what a year it has been. While we have had families experience some significant challenges, I can honestly say that this year we have had the pleasure of working with some of the toughest, most committed and resilient parents & kids I have ever met. We have been inspired by our kids who are working hard to learn how to be part of a family & by our parents who are working hard to support this often painful journey.
We have been inspired by our kids who are working hard to learn how to be part of a family & by our parents who are working hard to support this often painful journey. We have seen the glimmers of healing that we all hope for and the moments of joy and hope that are at times can seem fleeting.
For PWNL, this year has been a huge milestone year. Not only have we been able to place two sibling groups of 4 children into loving families, but this past December, we were pleased to place the 100th child to come home through our program since our first placement in 2007. It is hard to put into words how much that milestone means to a program like ours. We are thrilled to see our program continue to grow and make a difference in the lives of waiting children.
As we move into a New Year, we wish you a year full of joy, hope and peace.
