The Barker Adoption Foundation Privacy Policy

The Barker Adoption Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of its website visitors and any personal information provided to us.

What kind of information do we collect?

The only personally identifiable information that we collect is the information you voluntarily provide by completing an online request for information or a donation form, or by signing up to receive e-mail updates or other notifications. Such data may include your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, and, in specific cases, topics you are interested in, questions, or concerns. (Note: we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children ages 13 and under.)

Barker also automatically collects information in aggregate through Barker’s website host, as well as Google Analytics, which can include such data as device and browser types, access times, collective website usage information, and referring sources of traffic. This information is used by Barker to continue to deliver a positive website user experience and make improvements to Barker’s services. This information does not, however, identify any individual or track an individual’s use of the Internet.

How do we use this information?

The Barker Adoption Foundation uses the provided information to respond to your requests for information and improve its services. We do not rent, sell, trade, or exchange any information that you volunteer. (An exception to this policy would be if we were required to respond to a legal process or procedure to comply with a specific law or regulation.) In addition, should The Barker Adoption Foundation merge, combine with, or be purchased by another organization, information may be shared as a result of the transaction.

Security of your Personal Information

The Barker Adoption Foundation takes reasonable steps to secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Barker secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Barker also works with reputable third parties, including Constant Contact and Donor Perfect, who gather information from Barker website users and when personal information (such as user address or credit card number information) is transmitted, it is protected through multiple levels of security, including data encryption via industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

What about changes in policy?

Notice of any changes to our current privacy policy will be posted here. Feel free to check back from time to time to review any changes we may have made.

What about links to other websites?

We provide links to other websites as a courtesy to our visitors. While we make every effort to list only those links of value, quality, and appropriateness, the inclusion of outside links on our site is not to be construed as official endorsement or approval of its content, author, or originating corporate and/or organizational entity.
