We have created an engaging workshop with the help of Sami, Tess, and Riley. Adopted children in grades 3-7 will have the opportunity to talk and process their feelings about adoption in a safe, age-appropriate way. They will have an additional focus on increased self-esteem through crafts and games.
Barker S.T.A.R.S. PARENT GROUPS
Gain the opportunity to meet other parents while your child is in their Kid Group!
Parent Groups will take place simultaneously while the Kid Groups are in session. During this time, parents can connect with other families and hear how they have approached questions and comments about their family and adoption.
Baker's adoption experts will help you gain the tools and language you need to answer others comments or questions about your family. As an attendee, you will also learn ways to talk to your child about these questions and help them feel empowered to respond to comments that may feel invasive.
