Session Description:
In part two of the Barker Annual Conference, this session will explore the impact of trauma on youth in the child welfare system or congratate care (such as orphanages in international adoption). Our trainer, along with panelists, will be exploring the ways that trauma can show up in life, and the role that caregivers have in helping youth effectively manage and live with a history of complex trauma.
This training is ideal for prospective and active foster and adoptive parents who are considering or parenting children with a trauma history, as well as the professionals that support them.
