Event Description

Barker's Domestic Older Child Adoption Team invites you to a special viewing of

FOSTER

FOSTER, a feature-length documentary from Participant Media and Emerson Collective, in association with HBO Documentary Films, goes beyond sensational headlines and stereotypes to take an unprecedented look at the often-misunderstood world of the foster care system. Through compelling first-hand accounts, the film shines a realistic yet hopeful light on struggling families and children in need of support and understanding.

If you or someone you know is exploring adopting an older child from foster care, this is a great way to learn about the population.

Staff from Project Wait No Longer- Barker's older child adoption program will facilitate a Q & A after the documentary to answer questions you may have about children in care and our program.

This event is FREE, but RSVP is required as there is limited space. Busboys and Poets waitstaff will be available for you if you wish to purchase food and beverages (each guest is responsible for their order).
