Event Description

This session will provide parents of preschool-aged children with perspective and tools on how to talk to their young children (up to age six) about adoption in an age-appropriate manner. Topics to be covered will include: typical child development stages and how these may impact an adopted child’s thinking about their adoption, empowering a child to view his/her adoption from a healthy perspective, providing tools on responding to questions from others, and common parental concerns in discussing adoption with young children.
