Session Description:

During this session attachment therapist, Louise Fleischman will explore with participants the realities and impact of orphanage life/foster care on childhood behaviors.  We will explore the ABCs of healthy attachment and techniques for both home and parent preparation to manage attachment challenges in adopted children.  Participants will learn more about what makes a home “attachment-friendly” so that they can better assess parent readiness and help to manage parent expectations.  We will also explore “red-flags” that every social worker should be looking out for during the assessment process.
