Children in foster care have often experienced trauma and find it difficult to communicate how they feel to the people around them. This video highlights things that children in foster care wish the people in their lives knew and gives some perspective into what children who have experienced trauma struggle with in regards to their loved ones. Project Wait No Longer aims to educate, train, and prepare parents to help their children process their emotions and experiences once they’ve been adopted.

If you or anyone you know is interested in older child adoption, please contact Alex Williams at awilliams [at] barkerfoundation.org for more information about Project Wait No Longer.
